The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and the SDMS Foundation have named the recipients of the SDMS Foundation scholarships.
The scholarships recognize excellence in academic achievement and commitment to the sonography profession.
This year's recipients include Madelyn DeOrian, who was awarded the 2025 Student Sonography Scholarship, and Amanda Howell, who received the 2025 Student Sonography Scholarship.

DeOrian is currently enrolled in the ultrasound technology program at the Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts in California and is expected to graduate in June 2026. Howell is pursuing her master’s degree in administration/health sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and is expected to graduate in May 2026.
