SimonMed and French AI startup Matricis.ai are conducting a pilot study of EndomAI, an AI tool designed to detect and map endometriosis on MRI scans.
The initial phase will enroll approximately 200 patients with suspected or confirmed endometriosis at select SimonMed centers. The study will assess how AI-assisted reporting affects diagnostic consistency, lesion detection, and radiologist confidence when communicating findings to referring OB/GYN physicians, the companies said. All interpretations will remain under the supervision of board-certified radiologists.
EndomAI is designed to generate standardized reporting templates, map the distribution and extent of lesions to aid surgical planning, and provide decision support for follow-up care and specialist referrals, according to Matricis.ai.
