Merit Medical appoints new president and CEO, highlights Q2 revenue gains

Merit Medical Systems has appointed Martha Aronson as the company's new president and CEO, effective October 3. 

She will replace Fred Lampropoulos, who will remain in his current roles of chairman of the board of directors and president and CEO through that date. He will continue to serve in his board position afterward.

Aronson previously served as executive vice president and president of global healthcare for Ecolab. She also served as the senior vice president and president, North America, for Hill-Rom Holdings.

Prior to that, she spent nearly 20 years at Medtronic in various general management and leadership roles, both in the U.S. and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College.

In other Merit news, the company reported preliminary unaudited revenue in the range of $380 million to $384 million for the second quarter, which ended June 30. This represents a projected increase of about 12% to 14% compared with revenue reported for the previous year's quarter. Preliminary constant currency revenue for the 2025 second quarter increased in the range of 11% to 13% compared with the prior year period, Merit highlighted.
