Qure.ai has named Javier Zulueta, MD, as its new chief medical officer (CMO) of pulmonology.

Zulueta was previously a professor of medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and chief of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. He has more than 30 years of clinical and research experience and founded Spain’s first lung cancer screening program. He was also a principal investigator for Europe’s longest-running International Early Lung Cancer Action Program initiative, Qure.ai said.
In his new role, Zulueta will advance the clinical strategy behind the company’s AI lung solutions and expand deployments across U.S. health systems.
