GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy are touted for their ability to help with faster weight loss, but these meds may have other unintended benefits toward breast care, according to recent research.

A study of over 110,000 women led by researchers from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia showed that GLP-1 use may cut women's breast cancer risk by 30%. The study was presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting in Chicago.
