Mammography information system provider MagView has expanded its partnership with Las Vegas, NV-based Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI) to support SDMI's new personalized breast cancer risk assessment program.
SDMI has embedded the Tyrer-Cuzick (TC) risk model within the MagView system to identify women who may benefit from supplemental screening such as breast MRI or genetic counseling, according to MagView.
Risk scoring is now part of routine mammography at SDMI and enables SDMI to scale its high-risk screening efforts into daily mammography workflow, according to MagView. The MagView platform streamlines the entire risk assessment process, delivering results within the radiologist’s existing workflow and enabling actionable next steps for the patient, the company said.
An SDMI blog said its mammogram with TC score estimates 10-year and lifetime risk of developing breast cancer, and the service is provided at no additional cost to patients.
