To address the national shortage of trained nuclear medicine technologists, Catalyst MedTech has launched the Catalyst MedTech Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program in conjunction with Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, PA.
The initiative includes a fully online didactic curriculum, enabling students anywhere in the U.S. to enroll. Students in the program will complete their clinical rotations at healthcare facilities near their locations.
The program meets eligibility requirements for national certification exams through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); scholarship opportunities are available to support accessible entry into the profession, the partners said in a statement.
Application and enrollment for the inaugural class beginning in January 2026 are currently open. For more information, visit the program’s page on Westmoreland’s website.
