Prostate Cancer Foundation, SNMMI partner on prostate cancer research grant

The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) are collaborating on research funding through a grant under the PCF 2025 Young Investigator Award program.

The program is aimed at advancing prostate cancer research among early-career physicians and scientists through career and project support. Since its inception three decades ago, the program has awarded a total of $93 million to more than 435 researchers who have advanced prostate cancer research.

Under the collaboration, the SNMMI will co-sponsor a grant focused on advancing nuclear medicine and molecular imaging for prostate cancer as part of the 2025 Young Investigator Award program.

The initiative aligns with the SNMMI’s Mars Shot Research Fund, which was launched in 2022 to raise $100 million to support research in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging that advances tools or treatments for complex diseases.

Applications for the 2025 Young Investigator Award program will open later this year.
