GE HealthCare highlights combined software with MIM Encore

GE HealthCare has integrated its software features and algorithms into the recent acquisition MIM Software's MIM Encore nuclear medicine platform.

The combination brings dedicated postprocessing tools for GE HealthCare systems that streamline nuclear medicine and cardiology workflows, the company said. MIM Encore also now provides automated read preparation, structured reporting, and interpretation tools for PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and multimodality fusion. The goal is to enable faster diagnoses and improved communication between clinicians, according to the vendor.

In addition, MIM Encore features resolution recovery and image-enhancing tools tailored for GE HealthCare scanners that can be used in oncology, cardiology, and neurology applications.

In oncology, GE HealthCare highlighted simplified SPECT image processing with reconstruction and configurable enhancements such as resolution recovery, attenuation and scatter correction, advanced filtering, and motion correction.

As for cardiology, GE HealthCare emphasized MIM Encore's PET and SPECT tools for reconstruction and quantitative analysis. Key features include motion correction, automated quality checks, and intuitive displays, the company said.

The vendor also highlighted new reconstruction workflows for neurology, including 3D rendering and advanced correction.

Also, GE HealthCare’s Effortless Workflow software has been integrated with MIM Encore. This allows clinicians to manage rising caseloads with intuitive interfaces, customizable displays, and automation, according to the vendor.

GE HealthCare acquired MIM Software in 2024.
