U.S. FDA clears GE HealthCare’s new CT system

GE HealthCare (GEHC) has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Revolution Vibe CT system. 

First unveiled at the American College of Cardiology 2025 meeting in March, the system is designed to deliver full-heart clarity in a single beat, even without electrocardiogram tracing, the company said. In addition, the system’s AI-powered workflow can help cut exam time by 50% and double coronary CT angiography capacity, according to the vendor. 

Radiologie du Var - ELSAN, a radiology clinic in Ollioules, France, is the first in the world to install the system, GEHC noted.
