The company unveiled the mobile units in February at the American Heart Association’s 2025 International Stroke Conference, with the first deployment at UCLA Health of Southern California. The scanner features a new digital platform called Stroke Connect, which allows hospital physicians to assess clinical patient data remotely and in advance of presentation at the hospital. This can reduce time-to-treatment by about 30 minutes compared with conventional pathways, the company noted.
The Somatom On.site scanner won the Minnies award for Best New Radiology Device in 2020.
